Stepping into Mercii at 81 Crest, Khar, feels like entering a world where gratitude is plated with every exquisite bite. Founded by Arpita Khan Sharma in collaboration with Richboyz Entertainment, this newly unveiled European fine dining destination had been on our radar for weeks. With all the buzz surrounding it, we had to experience it for ourselves.
From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and understated luxury. Inspired by her family's deep-rooted love for hospitality and her own travels across Europe, Arpita has created a space that feels both intimate and grand. True to its name—'Mercii', French for 'thank you'—the restaurant embodies a heartfelt appreciation for fine dining and meaningful experiences.

Spanning an impressive 9,000 square feet, Mercii isn’t just about dining; it’s about indulgence in its most refined form. We were particularly drawn to the private chamber, an exclusive enclave designed for intimate gatherings. It felt like the perfect setting for a special celebration, offering seclusion without losing the restaurant’s signature ambiance.

Arpita’s vision for Mercii is clear:
"I wanted to create a place where every guest feels like they're stepping into a warm embrace, where the simple act of sharing a meal becomes a meaningful experience. Mercii is my way of extending a sincere 'thank you' to Mumbai, to every individual who walks through our doors, and to the beautiful journey that has led us here."
And it’s not just about the setting; the food, curated under the expert eye of Group Culinary Director Dennis Koll, is nothing short of an art form. With experience honed under Michelin-starred mentors and time spent crafting masterpieces at iconic establishments like the Burj Al Arab, Koll brings an extraordinary touch to Mercii’s kitchen.
"For me, cooking is an act of storytelling," Chef Dennis shares. "At Mercii, we are not just serving food; we are crafting narratives that evoke emotions and memories. Each dish is a journey, a blend of traditional techniques and innovative ideas, designed to transport our guests to the heart of Europe's culinary landscapes."
The experience of dining here is exactly that; a journey. Every dish presented felt like an invitation to explore European flavours in their purest, most elevated form. The attention to detail, from the plating to the interplay of textures and flavours, was nothing short of mesmerising.
