GAUTAM SINGHANIA FINISHES SECOND IN FERRARI CHALLENGE EUROPE CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 SERIES
Racing enthusiast, Gautam Singhania, who is the CMD of Raymond Limited and also the founder chairman of the Super Car Club, has done India proud by securing the fourth position in the final race of the Ferrari Challenge Europe Championship 2015 series, held in Mugello, Italy. The event saw participation from proficient racers from around the world. The final race was a culmination of a year-long series of 14 races, spread over 7 rounds, where Singhania triumphed, securing second position in terms of overall standing (in the Coppa Shell category). Notably, this was his maiden full season in the Coppa Shell category of the Ferrari Challenge EU Series, in which he secured 10 podium finishes, including a first position.
IRCTC INTRODUCES SPECIAL TRAIN TO PROMOTE HERITAGE TOURISM IN RAJASTHAN
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a subsidiary of Indian Railways, has introduced a special train for a five-day tour of Jaisalmer and Jaipur to promote heritage tourism. The ‘Desert Circuit Semi Luxury Tourist Train’ will commence journey from Delhi’s Safdarjung railway station and take tourists first to Jaisalmer, where a guided tour to the city’s major attractions will be organised. The train will then proceed to Jaipur for a similar guided tour of the Pink City, before taking travellers back to Safdarjung on the fifth day. The packages are attractively priced and include deluxe onboard facilities and sightseeing facilities. The train will be operational from mid-December to around the end of April, which is the prime tourist season.
RESURGENT RAJASTHAN PARTNERSHIP SUMMIT ATTRACTS INVESTMENT WORTH

The much talked about Resurgent Rajasthan campaign, which culminated with the two-day Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015, held from November 19-20, 2015, at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre, ended on a positive note with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje announcing total investments worth over R3.2 lakh crore from some 295 proposals. The investments are envisaged to create 2.5 lakh jobs in the state. The investment proposals were the fruit of a sustained year-long campaign by the Rajasthan government to promote the state as a favourable and investor-friendly destination for both Indian and overseas businesses.

MAHESHWARI RAJASTHANI CONVENTION 2016 TO BE HELD IN CONNECTICUT
The countdown to the eighth chapter of the International Maheshwari Rajasthani Convention has begun. Titled ‘IMRC Boston 2016’ and organised by the Maheshwari Mahasabha of North America (MMNA), the event is scheduled to be held between July 1-4, 2016, at the Hilton Stamford Hotel & Executive Meeting Centre in downtown Stamford, Connecticut. A cultural fest (which forms an essential part of these conventions) has been organised, which has been conceptualised around the theme ‘Rang, Tarang and Umang’, inspired by the vibrant spirit of Rajasthan. The festivities will include glimpses into Rajasthan’s rich heritage, culture, food and tradition, in addition to dance and drama performances, workshops, inspiring keynote addresses, networking events and breakout sessions—all woven together with Rajasthan’s legendary hospitality. The event is expected to attract around 900 members and visitors from across the globe.
SOCIAL ACTIVIST SUNDEEP BHUTORIA ELECTED TREASURER OF WORLD FEDERATION OF UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATIONS (WFUNA)
Social activist, culturist and wildlife enthusiast, Sundeep Bhutoria, has been re-elected to the post of ‘Treasurer’ for the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), at the 41st Plenary of WFUNA, held in Vancouver, Canada recently. A Churu-born resident of Kolkata, Bhutoria won the election uncontested, as no candidate had filed nomination against him. This was after 34 countries had submitted formal letters of support in his favour well before the elections. The WFUNA is a global non-profit organisation that works for a stronger and more effective United Nations through the engagement of people who share a global mindset and support international cooperation.
