Royalty At Its Best
Sterling Jaisinghgarh in Udaipur offers a royal experience with luxurious and immaculate hospitality.
A refreshing trip seemed like an ideal way to get away from the ticking clock and cacophony of sounds in the metro city. So we headed straight to Udaipur—often dubbed as the Venice of the east—for a blissful vacation at Sterling Jaisinghgarh. Nestled in the heart of the city on Trident Road, this boutique hotel, located at a 30-minute drive from Maharana Pratap Airport, is a perfect oasis in the quiet neighbourhood of some iconic heritage spots in the city.
A balmy hospitality and impeccable service make any guest feel at home. And this 4-star property ticks all the boxes in immersing you in luxury and making your stay a pleasant experience. The leisure getaway recently acquired recently by Sterling Resorts, houses 24 upscale rooms and suites set in imperial look and haveli-themed architecture featuring intricate designs inspired by the popular Thikri, miniature and Gokhru art along with handcrafted Pichwai paintings and traditional jharokhas—which embody the tradition and grandeur of Rajasthan.
After a warm welcome and a refreshing beverage, we made ourselves comfortable in an elegantly designed suite that offered plush amenities. The 4-star property offers flawless hospitality and impeccable service. What really appeals to the traveler are its lush green lawns with Frangipani trees where you can choose indulge in nature walks. Or spoil yourself at the outdoor poolside with magnificent sunset views or enjoy the regal skyline on the upper deck.
As a part of the city excursion organised by the travel desk, we discovered the most iconic spots, royal palaces, famous monuments and beautiful lakes during the day. The wintry evenings were reserved for outdoor dining under the starry sky on the rooftop Fresco restaurant that serves the finer tastes of authentic Rajasthani cuisine along with a culturally serene ambience and soulful music being played live in the background. The sumptuous menu handpicked by the chef offered gastronomical delights like panchkuta sabzi, ukaale ki kadhi, sev tamatar ki sabzi, daal baati churma, laal maas, makai ki rab, mushroom ki galoti, sarson ke phul, lahsuni khada palak, rabodi lila kanda, pitod ki sabzi, barista pulao, rabdi malpua, and anjeer akhroth ka halwa and other classic offerings from the menu. The next evening, we were served international cuisine of exotic dishes like the Mezze platter, garden salad and signature desserts.
At a stone’s throw away from the hotel, one discovers some royal palaces, famous monuments and beautiful lakes. The Group’s other property in Udaipur Sterling Balicha is another great choice for travel enthusiasts. A mesmerising experience with 40 rooms and suites, plush banquet area, lawns and rooftop deck with a crystal clear pool, making the venue a perfect destination for a dream wedding.
All in all, elegant comfort havens of both the hotels perfectly complemented our vacation vibe and made our stay rejuvenating in the city of lakes.
