Let Your Inner Diva Shine

It was a warm intimate evening that saw guests including luxury brand and marketing consultant Tanaaz Bhatia (who helms the bespoke entertainment company Bottomline Media Pvt Ltd) and popular television actress Sara Khan, in attendance at Zoya’s style event—Discover the Diva.

The evening’s highlight was a talk by acclaimed fashion designer Shehla Khan—the first in a series of talks initiated by the luxury jewellery brand—that focused on the blending of couture with fine jewellery. Guests got an opportunity to interact with Shehla and discuss style tips that can be incorporated into their wardrobes. It was accompanied by a presentation of Zoya’s latest collection, ‘Lace’. This new collection draws inspiration from different kinds of embroidery, crochet, tassels and tatting and gracefully captures the nuances of needlework in gold and diamonds. Also included in the evening was a preview of Zoya’s soon to be launched ‘Wedding Collection’ that encompasses jewellery classics for a bride’s trousseau.

A red-carpet favourite, Shehla has inherited her love for embroidery from her father whose portfolio of work includes providing embellishments for labels such as Valentino and Roberto Cavalli. Her own designs are speckled with delicate embroidery and feminine aesthetics that form the focal point of her garments.

Models from Shock Talent Management sported different looks from Shehla’s various collections to illustrate examples from the talk. Shehla’s outfits were perfectly complemented by baubles from Zoya’s latest jewellery lines.
