Gautam Singhania scores double victory in NGK Racing Series

The 2014-15 NGK Racing Series (a multi-category series that includes the UAE Touring Car Championship, the Clio Cup and the GT Championship), kicked off early this November with the opening round seeing an impressive line-up of cars including a couple of Ferraris, a McLaren and a Porsche battling it out for the top honours. Held at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, the event saw participation from the Raymond Group head honcho, Gautam Singhania, who scored a scintillating double victory driving his Dragon Racing Ferrari. Hot on his heels was Fred Fatein in the second sister Ferrari, who took second place with Bashar Mardini coming in third in his Porsche. Intriguingly, the order remained the same for both the races with Singhania coming home first, followed by Fatein and then Mardini.

Round 2 of the NGK Racing Series will take place at Dubai Autodrome on November 14, 2014.

Back home, Singhania is a racing enthusiast and the co-founder of the Super Car Club (SCC) which has launched various activities to promote the popularity of supercars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, BMW and Mercedes in India.
